SharePoint

Give Clad access to the SharePoint sites it works in.

Before you begin

Role: SharePoint Administrator (see Prerequisites) · Time: 10 minutes per site · Requires: Clad app approved

Clad's SharePoint access uses the Sites.Selected permission, which lets you grant Clad individual sites. You grant a role on each site Clad works in.

Recommended: a dedicated site

The narrowest grant is a site created for Clad (for example Clad Documents) that holds only the client folders Clad reads from and files into. Granting an existing, broader site gives Clad access to everything in it.

Your values

Fill these in and the commands and links in this guide update to match. Values are kept in this browser only and never sent to Clad.

Grant a site

Each block below is self-contained and can be run in a new PowerShell window.

Grant Clad a role on the site

write lets Clad read existing documents and file new ones. Change it to read if Clad should only read.

$CladAppId = '<Clad application ID>'$SiteId    = '<tenant>.sharepoint.com:/sites/<site>'Connect-MgGraph -Scopes 'Sites.FullControl.All'$Site = Get-MgSite -SiteId $SiteIdNew-MgSitePermission -SiteId $Site.Id -BodyParameter @{  roles = @('write')  grantedToIdentities = @(    @{ application = @{ id = $CladAppId; displayName = 'Clad' } }  )}

Confirm the grant

$SiteId = '<tenant>.sharepoint.com:/sites/<site>'Connect-MgGraph -Scopes 'Sites.FullControl.All'$Site = Get-MgSite -SiteId $SiteIdGet-MgSitePermission -SiteId $Site.Id |  Select-Object Id, Roles, @{ n = 'App'; e = { $_.GrantedToIdentities.Application.DisplayName } }

The list shows a permission for your Clad application with the role you granted.

Repeat for each site Clad should use, and send your Clad contact the site URLs.

Remove a site

$CladAppId = '<Clad application ID>'$SiteId    = '<tenant>.sharepoint.com:/sites/<site>'Connect-MgGraph -Scopes 'Sites.FullControl.All'$Site = Get-MgSite -SiteId $SiteId$Permission = Get-MgSitePermission -SiteId $Site.Id |  Where-Object { $_.GrantedToIdentities.Application.Id -eq $CladAppId }Remove-MgSitePermission -SiteId $Site.Id -PermissionId $Permission.Id

Clad loses access to that site immediately. Other granted sites are unaffected.
